While it is true that we Filipinos eat Rice as a main staple, our consumption for Bread and baked goods has definitely increase.  Look at the success of Gardenia which has trumped all local bakeries and this Malaysian-owned company is now planning to open a huge factory in Cebu, right in the heartland of Julie's Bakeshop.
