Another Donut shop spotted in the Franchise Expo is CountryStyle.
They have been around for a while but not like during their heydays. Now I see them more as a Cafe like the one in SM Muntinlupa. Aside from Donuts, they have sandwiches and the like more of like what Mister Donut is doing now (offering other snacks other than donuts--Could it be Dunkin's lead is insurmountable?).
Since their Cafe style, I can imagine investment outlay will go up. Unlike Dunkin donuts that have donut stands even at the Mount Carmel Church grounds and other Hole-in-the-wall sites.
I also saw Hapi Haus, which has several outlets already as they can be had for only P20,000 franchise package and they allow a higher percentage of bad order returns, which is an important consideration in the donut biz.
There were also an assortment of never-heard donut shops, mini-donuts and other similar snacks.
For the small business entrepreneur, he will have to do his own market research and check out these other outfits versus the market leaders, dunkin donuts and mister donut.
