IF THERE IS A FOODCART, WHAT THEN IS A COMBO CART???

Aside from Multi-concept Franchisors, I also noticed COMBO CARTS.  What are they?

Well, obviously, its a cart that may have 2 or even 3 food concepts in one!!!

Victory Franchise Inc (Fil-chi International) has a version wherein you could combine Squidballs (Balls Ng Bayan), Buy1Take1 Burger (called Twin Burger) and waffle dog ala Waffle Time (called Crazy Waffle) in one cart. Even the front facing of the foodcart shows 3 signages in One!!!

Below is the version of the COMBO CART by Filtrepreneur Franchise, another Multi-concept Franchisor:

It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's Super Scramble to the Rescue!!!!

We have heard of Icebreaker Scramble, Pinoy Scramble, Scramboi, Scramble King, Snowflo Scramble, Buzbox Scramble, Scramble Mania and a million variants (well, maybe not a million but still counting). . .  And now, it's Victory Franchise Inc (Fil-Chi International) version called. . . . tadahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh  SUPER SCRAMBLE!!!!!!

They offer 2 versions of their Scramble cart:  a High-end costing P75,000 All-in (and acc to their flyer, "My God shall supply") and a low-end costing P29,000.

Of note in their flyer, they are the only franchisor that has Advertising Support (Radio, TV, Magazines) included in both Franchise packages.

PIFBEX AT WTC: Kebab BBQ Anyone??

courtesy of king kabab victory franchise  Another offering of the Multi-Concept company Victory Franchise Inc or Fil-Chi Entrepreneurs is King Kebab.

According to my Iranian Lotto customer, Kebab or Kabab is their version of our BBQ but much better (he says!).

Investment is expected to be higher as the cart itself is almost P80,000 as it is made of good quality materials.

PIFBEX AT WTC: Cheaper than Twistix. It's Patatas Twisters!!

Another trend that I noticed in past Food Franchise Expos including this one, the Phil Food and Beverage Expo, at the WTC is the emergence of more  Multi-Concept Franchisors offering Scramble, Twistix-type, Siomai and whatever is the latest trends in food franchises.

Examples of the Multi-concept Franchisors at the PIFBEX is Wynski Enterprises, Garnet Conceptualized Business Development and now, my feature, is by Victory Franchise Inc. (part of Fil-Chi Entrepreneurs, I think).

Not Twistix but Patatas Twister
Their version of Twistix is the Patatas Twister.  Their Franchise Package is P29,900 (vs more than P200,000 for Twistix) and they have no Royalty Fee nor Renewal charges.

PIFBEX AT WTC: PotDog. Filipino-style Street Food.

Pot Dog Franchise Food Cart at WTC
One of the longer-living Franchises is Pot Dog.  They are mostly found in the malls.

Pot Dog products
Their menu can partly be found in Kiss, The King of Balls franchise as well as Paotsin.  As can be seen in the photos below, they have an extensive product line.

The Franchise Package is a big P450,000 and for which you get:

  4sqm Kiosk
  2 Upright Freezers
  2 Deep Fryers
  Rice Cooker
Exhaust Rangehood (important if you are indoors as in a Mall)
  Asstd Kitchenware and utensils
  Tables and cabinets
  Uniforms
  Initial inventory worth P20,000

I was told by the Pot Dog personnel, Rent in a mall can be as high as P80,000 and that some malls also charge a Percentage of Sales.   Because of the big investment, a Mall will be the preferred location to be able to generate enough sales to payback the investment.

PIFBEX AT WTC: Pinoy Scramble Franchise

courtesy of pinoy scramble   Of the various Scramble franchises featured at the Philippine Food and Beverage Expo at the World Trade Center, the most prominent is Pinoy Scramble (Scramble King was Second).

They have 3 types of Franchise Packages:

Mall                        P180,000

Community                 120,000

School                        80,000 (but P55,555 during the Expo)

courtesy of pinoy scramble
This is sample of cart for School Package
As with most scramble packages, there are no Royalty fees nor percentage on sales.  (This last one is from the part of the franchisor.  I heard Pot Dog foodcart was levied a Percentage of Sales Charge by the mall).

While they offer Site Assistance, I was shocked at the fee to be paid to Pinoy Scramble if they do help you get a site.  It seems the fee to be paid for helping you look for the site is EQUAL TO THE RENT THAT YOU NEGOTIATE WITH THE SITE OWNER.  If non-mall, not so expensive but if it is in a Mall where rent ranges from P20,000 to P40,000, that is a huge cash outlay on the part of the franchisee.

The franchisor is Empeno-Reyes Foods Co. Ltd.
